NEW FOR 2006 – BRAIDED CARBON RAILS. The most advanced saddle ever made. The Arione Carbon features hollow titanium rails and a white carbon fiber shell. The classic Arione shape taken to the next level. The extensive use of carbon helps reduce the weight to only 199 grams. First things first: This isn’t just an Arione with carbon rails! What’s different is its featherlight Twin Flex shell beneath the black Microtex covering. The exterior shell is a 35g multidirectional white carbon fiber that surrounds a 15g bi-directional carbon and Kevlar weave interior “hammock” that simultaneously provides comfort and support. The white carbon looks amazing and it keeps the saddle weight supremely low. You can see it best from the underside of the saddle, and it’s matched perfectly by a silvery carbon strip down the middle of the saddle. Beyond the unique Twin Flex white carbon technology here, it’s everything else we’ve come to love about the Arione: Its Wing Flex technology allows the saddle to flex in key areas to yield a virtual custom fit without foregoing the critical shell rigidity and support necessary for optimal power transfer and comfort.
